Special Education Conference 2025
Date: November 13-14, 2025
Location: Kalahari Resort and Convention Center, Wisconsin Dells, WI
Overview
Join hundreds of your colleagues from around the state and Midwest to learn, relax, network, and gather new ideas and resources at our 12th Annual Special Education Conference at the Kalahari.
We have some great keynote speakers scheduled including Katie Berg and Brandi Lust.
Katie has been supporting students for more than 20 years. In the private sector, public education and now statewide her experiences include providing one on one therapy, classroom teaching, administration, technical assistance, coaching and district and statewide training. Katie has extensive experience working with unique neurodiverse learners focusing on the Social Emotional Learning skills that help students and educators problem solve around behaviors that are challenging. She is currently supporting the districts across the state, upon request, providing support to educators serving students with needs in the area of social and emotional learning using evidenced-informed improvement strategies. Using tools such as the Coaching Competency Practice Profile and adult learning standards Katie is helping WI school districts use effective methods of professional learning to grow adult capacity in disability-related need areas under the Social and Emotional Learning Competencies.
Brandi Lust is the founder of Learning Lab Consulting and the author of Myths of Being Human: Four Paths to Connect with What Matters. Through both her work and her writing, she helps organizations and individuals frame well-being as a community practice, not just an individual endeavor. Brandi believes that our common humanity enhances our communities and workplaces. When it is safe to bring our whole selves to everything we do, both the easy and the hard stuff, individuals are more fulfilled, and organizations are more effective.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in English from The Ohio State University and earned her M.A.Ed. from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She has over 17 years of experience as an educator and facilitator working with organizations across the country.
We will start accepting proposals (reduced registration fee) now and will open registrations in April.
